I’m reasonably certain that this photo is of 125 Greenwich Street (also known as 22 Thames St and “The Greenwich”) in the Financial District in NYC. I snapped this while looking for good views of the “Tribute in Light” 9/11 Memorial on Sept 11 2018.
This 88-story residential skyscraper was designed by the late architect Rafael Viñoly. Construction on The Greenwich began in 2016, but while the building “topped out” just after I took this photo, it experienced delays in 2019 due to slow condo sales, as well as financial and legal troubles. Construction finally resumed in 2023, the project was refinanced in 2025, and the building is now occupied.
