“Tribute in Light” shot just outside the Battery Parking Garage in New York City’s Financial District. I took this photo, along with several others, on Sep 11, 2018. I love the similar vertical structures of the buildings next to the single beam, and how important light is to all the elements of this shot.
I wrote a little about the Battery Parking Garage here. The memorial was first installed on the garage roof in 2005. Plans were announced to move the memorial to a permanent location at the World Trade site but have yet to be implemented.
