Battery Plaza

Took a walk around Battery Plaza after dropping a rental car off.

Construction on the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel ventilation building at Battery Plaza started along with the tunnel itself in 1940 and was completed in 1950.

Robert Moses built the Battery Parking Garage that faces the tunnel entrance in 1950 as part of his plan to control all off-street parking and funnel revenue into his program to reshape the city around auto traffic.

The design of the lobby entrance of the nearby Hotel Indigo is a throwback to a previous era in some other timeline.
